Very comfortable bed, delicious breakfast and possibility of checking out later in the afternoon

Unfortunately the room was noisy and the staff spoke German as a foreign language

The Italian singer/pianist entertainer was fabulous Proximity to town and railway Our suite was fabulous

Lack of transport to and from town and train Dinner restaurant was not up to standard

In the main the dinners were excellent and much better than the dinner we tried, eating out, in the village one evening. The staff were most friendly and obliging.

I was allocated a room with no curtains. When I mentioned this at reception, a curtain black-out was put up the same day- very impressive. No option for either corn flakes or porridge at breakfast

The style transports us and the wide open spaces are really pleasant and beautiful. Afternoon tea offered in the lounge. We were upgraded, a nice gesture much appreciated. The staff is very attentive, responsive (heating problem in our room and a solution was immediately proposed) and good advice for activities in the surrounding area. I highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable stay in another time and another style.

Nothing, we had a heating problem in our room but the staff was super responsive and found a solution for us.
